Announcements:

February 1, 2005 -- Now a CIF Championship Game DVD - We already had the footage, so with a little post-production magic, a DVD set of the CIF Championship game was created. Heather will bring them to Field Hockey PE either this week or next. If you aren't a varsity player and would like a copy, just let me know.  

December 11 -- DVD Update - The DVDs are done and ready to distribute! Heather will bring them on Monday. It includes a slightly improved version of the video we saw at the banquet, and a Special Features section. Enjoy... 

November 23 -- Some photos at the US Field Hockey Festival.  (click here)

November 20 -- The Varsity Falcons scored first in the CIF Finals against Scripps Ranch.  At the end of the second half and after two 10-minute overtime periods the score was tied at 2 goals each.  The game continued into the 3rd set of strokes where Scripps managed to pull ahead in the second set of sudden-death strokes. 

November 18 -- The Varsity Falcons defeated the Vista Panthers 2-1 in the CIF Division I Semifinals in Falcon Stadium this afternoon. The first goal was on a short corner. Rachel hit a rocket that slammed into the Panther GK and bounced high, then Casan seemed to snag the ball out of mid-air and tapped it into the goal. The second was from a ball hit by Griz that rolled by the Panther GK, then AJ was well-placed to tap it in.  festival04photos.html

November 16 -- The Varsity Falcons won their first game in the CIF Division I field hockey playoffs, defeating the San Pasqual Eagles 5-1 in the Quarterfinals in Falcon Stadium.  Goals were by Griz (3), Audrey, and AJ with an excellent assist by Megan. Check out the short video!

November 9 -- The Varsity Falcons shut out the Uni Dons 3-0 in Falcon Stadium.  Goals were by Kelley, AJ, Danielle.

November 3 -- The Varsity Falcons scored a victory over the Rancho Bernardo Broncos 3-1 at RBHS.  Goals were by AJ, Griz, and Heather. JV was ahead 1-0 when we left the field.

November 2 -- The Varsity Falcons battled back and forth with the La Costa Canyon Mavericks this afternoon, ending with a 0-0 tie at the end of regulation play, and the game remained scoreless at the end of overtime.  The contest was ultimately decided in strokes in the last bit of remaining daylight, where the Mavericks pulled ahead of the Falcons. 

The JV Falcons tied the JV Mavericks 0-0 in two 10-minute halves.  The game was cut short due to darkness.

October 28 -- The Varsity Falcons shut out the Mt. Carmel Sundevils 12-0 in Falcon Stadium!  Goals were by Kadie, Kelley, Jess, Danielle, Heather (2), and six more (will add these soon). 

October 26 -- The Varsity Falcons shut out the Westview Wolverines 8-0 in Falcon Stadium!  Goals were by AJ (2), Griz, Marianne, Kelley, Heather, and two more. 

October 19 -- The Varsity Falcons shut out the Rancho Bernardo Broncos 7-0 in Falcon Stadium!  Goals were by Audrey, Marianne (2), Casan, Danielle (2), and Erin. 

October 14 -- The Varsity Falcons beat rival La Costa Canyon 2-1 tonight in an exciting game in Falcon Stadium!  Goals were all in the first half by "Wiley" (Heather) and "Goggs" (Danielle).   JV shut out the LCC JV team 2-0!

October 2 -- The Falcons are the champions of the 2004 Serra Field Hockey Tournament, defeating San Dieguito Academy (2-0), Scripps Ranch (in strokes), and Vista (3-0)!  The excitement is hard to describe, click on the video links to see for yourself (wmv files, uses Windows Media Player).

September 1 -- Would anyone like to help with the team website?  No previous experience or web design knowledge is required! Photos at the games and anything related to team activites would be fun to share with everyone.  We need a team photo of the JV and Freshmen teams.  Also Reports of game scores and a short paragraph describing important events (or whatever you're motivated to write) can be posted.  We can accept information in any form: electronic images or write-ups by email to , we can scan photo prints, or if there are web designers out there I can set you up to upload web pages.
